Student Life
Faith & Community at St. Paul’s
Welcome to St. Paul’s, and thank you for visiting our website! At St. Paul’s Lutheran School, faith is at the heart of everything we do, and we believe that spiritual growth is an essential part of life.
Are you looking for a place to connect with God? Do you want to grow in your faith? Is something missing in your life? Would you like to identify your gifts and use them to serve? No matter where you are coming from, no matter what you are looking for, we want you to know that St. Paul’s has a place for you.
We warmly invite your family to worship with us at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, but more than anything, we encourage you to be in church—wherever that may be. A strong foundation in faith is a vital part of life, and we want every family to experience the joy and strength that comes from a relationship with Christ.
If you’d like to learn more about our church and worship opportunities, we’d love to connect with you!
Morning & After-School Care Programs
Our surround care programs provide a safe and supervised environment for students before and after school. We understand that many families need care for their children beyond our normal school hours, and we’re happy to offer this service to our community.
What We Offer:
- Morning Care: 6:45-7:45 AM–this early hour allows for families to drop off children before the doors officially unlock for the day. Students are welcome to bring a small breakfast or may be served a light breakfast snack.
- After Care: Starting at 3:30 PM (following the 3:20 PM school dismissal) and running until 5:30 PM each school day, our after-school care program offers supervision for students. Our qualified and caring staff ensure a safe and structured environment where students can relax, play quietly, and work on homework until their families arrive.
During After Care, students will:
- Enjoy a snack: We provide a daily snack for students.
- Have a designated time for homework: Students have a quiet space to work on their assignments.
- Engage in quiet play: Students can participate in quiet activities such as reading, drawing, or playing board games.
Fine Arts
At St. Paul’s, we believe that a well-rounded education includes opportunities for students to explore their talents and interests beyond the classroom. We offer a variety of extracurricular activities in the arts and academics, allowing students to discover new passions, develop their skills, and build confidence.
Performing Arts:
Plays and Musicals:
Students have the opportunity to participate in theatrical productions every year. From auditions to rehearsals to performances, students gain valuable experience in acting, singing, and stage presence.
PRAISE Choir:
Our PRAISE Choir is open to students in grades 3-8. This choir provides an opportunity for students to develop their vocal skills and perform a variety of musical pieces. The choir sings in church several times per year.
School Band:
School Band: Students in our school band program receive instrumental lessons during the school day. This allows them to learn an instrument and develop their musical abilities. The band members perform at concerts and recitals throughout the year.
Weekly Chapel:
Each week, all students gather for chapel, a time of worship and reflection. Students sit with their assigned “chapel buddies,” fostering inter-grade connections and mentorship. During chapel, we:
Hear a message from God's Word:
We share biblical teachings and stories that are relevant to students’ lives.
Sing hymns of praise:
We lift our voices in song, celebrating our faith and joining together in worship.
Give offerings to school mission projects:
Students have the opportunity to contribute to a designated school mission project, which varies from semester to semester. This teaches students about generosity and supporting those in need.
Faith Families:
Approximately once a month, following chapel, students participate in “Faith Families.” These small groups, organized by grade levels or mixed-age groups, provide a more intimate setting for Bible study and discussion. Faith Families focus on the school’s theme for the year, allowing students to explore the theme through a biblical lens and connect with their peers on a deeper level.
